EL MONTE (CBSLA.com) — A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy has been wounded in a shooting in South El Monte.
The deputy-involved shooting occurred at Durfee Avenue and Peck Road.
A news release by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the shooting occurred just before 9 a.m. Sunday.
Police scanner reports indicate that two suspects were being sought.
No further information was immediately available.
