RANCHO CUCAMONGA (CBSLA.com) — A robber reportedly ran his car over an off-duty police officer after he chased the suspect from his home Monday night.
Corporal Brandon Karmann was returning home when he found the robber inside his home in Rancho Cucamonga, according to the West Covina Police Department.
Karmann chased the burglar from the house. As the suspect was fleeing the scene he drove over Karmann with his car but the officer had already managed to fire shots at the robber.
The officer was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, police reported.
Police are searching for the robbery suspect.
