UPLAND (CBSLA.com) — The pilot of a single-engine plane walked away uninjured after crashing in Upland on Sunday.

The accident involving the Cessna 180 occurred around noon near Cable Airport. The plane had departed from Camarillo.

Ian Gregor, a communications manager with the Federal Aviation Administration, said the plane had lost control on landing.

“The plane went off the side of the runway and hit a fence,” Gregor said.

Gregor said the pilot was the only person on board.

No further information was available.
