EAST LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Parents in East Los Angeles are on edge Friday evening after a 6-year-old boy told his family that a man tried to abduct him.
The suspect was described as a black male with white hair, a white beard and wearing round glasses.
The boy told authorities the man was wearing a blue shirt, blue pants, work boots and possibly pushing a shopping cart.
Officials theorize the man could be a transient.
The boy said the man offered him candy and then grabbed at his shirt.
The boy said he screamed and then ran. He also said the man attempted to put him in a burlap bag.
The suspect was last seen on foot, according to Carter Evans, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9.
