LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An off-duty LAPD motorcycle officer injured Sunday in a hit-and-run accident in Santa Clarita has been identified.
Officer Anderson Boyce was injured on the 5 Freeway at Lyons Avenue.
Boyce was reportedly on his way to work at the Hollywood Bowl when he was side-swiped by a vehicle.
An officer on the scene told CBS2 and KCAL9 that Boyce was alert and conscious when paramedics arrived.
He is being treated at a nearby hospital with leg injuries.
Witnesses said the suspects, a man and woman in their 20s, fled the scene.
