‘KNX On Your Corner’ Explores Irvine

(KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO) — KNX 1070 is taking an in-depth look at the city of Irvine on Friday as part of its ongoing series “KNX on Your Corner.”

KNX’s full day of programming will examine Irvine’s relatively quick rise in status over the past 30 years, its future plans for growth, the city’s success in attracting businesses and educational institutions, and places of interest, including the Great Park.

Many officials and community leaders will appear as special guests throughout the day.

The public is invited to meet the station’s personalities when KNX broadcasts live from Corner Bakery Cafe in Irvine Spectrum Center at 91 Fortune Drive.  News anchors Dick Helton and Vicky Moore will broadcast from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m., Frank Mottek will host the KNX Business Hour from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and Diane Thompson and Chris Sedens fill the anchor seats for KNX’s afternoon news coverage from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“KNX on Your Corner” profiles the diverse cities and communities of Southern California and is presented by The Monitoring Center.
