RANCHO PALOS VERDES (CBSLA.com) — The coroner’s office confirms to CBS2 News that they are responding to a report of a body found off the waters in Rancho Palos Verdes.
City News Service reports that the unidentified body was retrieved about 11:30 a.m. from the rocky coastline below the Terranea Resort.
The location was believed to be within the same vicinity where diver Rebecca Weiss reportedly went missing on Aug. 11.
Several hundred feet above where the body was recovered, volunteers gathered Saturday in front of City Hall in Rancho Palos Verdes to pass out flyers in search of the 50-year-old woman.
No further information was immediately available.
