VALLEY VILLAGE (CBS) — As many as six people were injured when a vehicle ran into a fire hydrant and power pole in Valley Village, according to authorities.
As a result of wires being down in water in the street, at least four people were shocked and required treatment, says Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The accident occurred at 8:25 p.m. in the 1200 block of Magnolia Boulevard, near Laurel Canyon.
One victim, a 57-year-old man, was taken to Sherman Oaks Hospital in an unknown condition.
It was unclear if he was the motorist or a pedestrian.
At least two of the victims are reportedly critical.
