Officials Investigate Fight At Katherine Jackson’s Home

LOS ANGELES (CBS)— Officials Tuesday were investigating an alleged fight outside of Michael Jackson’s mother’s home after family members got into a fight.

This comes days after apparently false reports that Katherine had gone missing.

The elder Jackson left her Calabasas home more than a week ago, but was found safe with family in Arizona.

However, she is still out of contact with her three grandchildren, which angered 14-year-old Paris Jackson.

“9 days and counting…so help me god I will make whoever did this pay,” she said on her Twitter account.

Now there’s a move to place Michael Jackson’s three children under temporary guardianship since Katherine, their sole guardian, is no longer available.

On Monday, security video from Katherine’s home showed Paris arguing with Janet and Randy Jackson. Moments later, a physical altercation broke out.

L.A. County Sheriff’s Department Spokesman Steve Whitmore said Jackson’s children were not involved.

“We took a battery report and nobody was arrested. Nobody was cited,” said Whitmore.

Jackson’s estate executors are fighting back with a message to the fans.

“We are acutely concerned about the welfare of Mrs. Jackson, and most particularly with Michael’s minor children. We are concerned that we do what we can to protect them from undue influences, bullying, greed and other unfortunate circumstances,” said John Branca and John McClain in a statement.

The executives of the estate said they can’t intervene in the family matter, but they will put measures in place to protect the children.

The matriarch’s son, Marlon Jackson, talked to CBS about his concerns over his mother.

“We have not spoken with her. We haven’t talked with her. And I don’t know where my mother is,” he told The Insider’s Kevin Frazier.
